If you were suspicious about your ex girlfriend at all, you should search for signs of cheating. Usually if you see smoke, a fire is burning somewhere. So if you have doubt in her fidelity, there’s probably a reason.

Remember that because you see indications of cheating in a relationship, though, that doesn’t necessarily mean that cheating is happening. Once you have seen the signs, you will have to look further to determine if cheating is truly taking place.

And often there are no signals of cheating in a relationship and yet cheating is happening. It is not a straightforward position to be in, to figure these things out.

The following signs can certainly lead you one direction or another. Don’t make a decision just based on one or maybe a few of them. But plenty of evidence can certainly let you know that something may be wrong, and you may need to look at small closer.

  • Secret cell phone chats are one of the top signs. If your ex girlfriend left the room every time the cell phone rings, you have to question why. Were they taught that it’s polite? If she’s at all weird acting about the conversation, you need to listen.
  • Sudden change in hygiene is common when a person is having an affair. If your ex girlfriend never went to any special trouble for you to make certain she looks and smells good, a change in this is going to be worrisome. If she is making herself nice for you, that’s awesome, well done man. If they’re dolling up to go out, you have got to question why.
  • More arguments can be one of the signals of cheating in a relationship. Particularly if it appears that she starts the discussion for no reason and then storming out due to it. It might be just an excuse to leave and have some time away from you with no need to come up with another excuse.
  • Catching your ex girlfriend in a lie can mean trouble. Even the littlest lie shows that person’s eagerness to lie generally. Look for connections between that lie and the chance of an affair.
  • An increase in computer time can be a bad sign. If she spent hours online after you’re in bed or while you’re doing other stuff, it may be an affair.
  • A standard sign of cheating is if your mutual friends act weird. They would know something that you don’t and feel uncomfortable around you.
  • And a painfully common sign of cheating is if your ex girlfriend accused you of cheating or hints that she suspects you may be having an affair. Fairly often, that’s a guilty conscious chatting and you’re being accused of the thing that’s causing her guilt.

The only possible way to know definitely is to have real evidence. So remember that although these are typical evidence of cheating in a relationship, not one of them may be employed to prove an affair is happening.
